For a few months now I've decided to make a change in my life to become more active. I looked around an noticed that even though I'm always on the go, I've neglected taking care of myself. I've always been thin and I thank whatever side of my family for the wonderful metabolism, but being active isn't my strongest point. Looking back on my childhood, I lived where I could climb trees, explore the trials in the woods looking for abandoned tree houses, and ride my bike from sun up to sunset. Now with all these adult responsibilities I'm finding that I have to schedule workout times, what use to be play time as a child. So even though I'm slender and look healthy, I know physically I'm not.
As I began my journey I've found a new "like" for running. I hated running, thinking I could keep up with my running loving friends and dying after their "warm-up", 3 miles later. But feeling that muscle burn that you can only get from running is rewarding. Only because I know that it means I'm building muscle and on my way to a pair of hot legs, lol. Now don't go thinking that I'm all in shape, I'm currently a work in progress. About 1/2 mile so far. My goal is to finish a 5k (3miles) within 30 minutes. May take some time but I'll get there dragging my girls with me. Love ya girls!
Whoop whoop, you go Hot Mama! So glad to hear you are making lifestyle changes to get healthier, and that they include running :o) (I would be one of those crazy runner friends, lol)
